Time to take action. I bought a brake master cylinder and finally found an ignition coil at Bap Geon. It was a little drive, but worth it. The coil is nice and shiny so I figure I'd install it for the ride home. Well an hour later after checking numerous connections, it turns out the new coil just wouldn't fire. Even the guy in the store could harly believe it. He asked me to come back tomorrow and he'd have one. *sigh*

Risking yet another chance of being pulled over, I made my way across town to pick up the replacement coil. This time it worked fine. I can easily psyche myself into thinking it runs better.

fter getting a big boost in enthusiasm, I decided it's time to do a few things. With the help of my friend, Mike, I installed a new master cylinder because that's what the shop recommended. Hopefully that would turn off my red brake light on the dash. Well, it didn't. It turns out that the rear passenger brake line was cracked right at the joint so after a half hour, a new one was installed and after some bleeding, all is stopping nicely.
Since I was feeling good, I tried to clean and "fix" my heater blower motor. Nope, not gonna happen. Looks like it needs to be replaced. I also tried fixing the air boot that connects the filter box to the engine, but I'm afraid it's hopeless. I really need to find some parts badly. I suppose I'll just have to settle for being one step closer to an inspectable vehicle.

oohoo! I just found an online resource for replacement parts: Pelican Parts. I checked my bank account balance, then bought some proper fuses (the colored ones), motor mounts (why not), the ever-elusive healight relay, um... some other things, but most importantly - the air boot I needed from yesterday! When the truck comes, it will be time for some more repairs.

ummer for my bimmer. No truck. So I got some new wiper blades, fixed the driver's side door issue and did some front suspension surveying. It's going to be quite a challenge to make an adequate skid plate.

ll I'm doing it seems is hanging out on the rally bulletin boards reading and reading. "Mad" Mike needs a new navvie and if I had my license, I'd be there. His old navvie had to go finish school. I think she was WAAAY cute (pretty, beautiful, whatever - like she'll ever see this text anyway) Wouldn't that be a nice way to meet someone.

ate this evening, I snuck out under cover of darkness, got some mexican food and headed to the carwash. I'm not one to complain (well...nevermind) but when there are 6 wash stalls and only ONE has a functional brush, and when the soap comes pouring through a hole in the roof of the facility instead of from the "wand" then I tend to get a little upset. Good thing I brought my own soap. All of this just so I can feel like I'm accomplishing something other than lurking the boards on SpecialStage.com till 5am (which I ended up doing anyway). Oh, and I got my 2001 Rally Calendar from Ben's Rally Page. It's beautiful. I fear I may go insane if I can't turn a few wrenches on the bimmer before I leave out to go skiing Wednesday night. I won't be taking the car for obvious reasons.
